6-8 week introductory/puppy classes are
available to the public. Please be aware that there can be a waiting
list as instructors can sometimes be in short supply. Most people
start to teach the family dog some basic obedience which can be extremely
handy. An obedient dog can be a joy to own.
After the initial introductory class, there
is the option to join Nelson Dog Training Club and continue with more in
depth training to either compete or simply for the joy of working with
your best friend.
Most classes are held Saturday mornings for
one hour. Some maybe available during the week in the evenings
depending on the instructor. Please remember that instructors are
volunteers with their own family/work commitments.
